Accessing Hidden .chk Files

Windows often hides the FOUND.000 folder by default as a protected system directory. Use the terminal to reveal your data fragments.

Step 01

Run CMD as Administrator

Search for "Command Prompt" in your Start menu, right-click it, and select "Run as Administrator" to ensure you have the necessary permissions.

Step 02

Reveal the FOUND folders

Navigate to your drive letter (e.g., D:) and execute the attribute command to strip the hidden and system flags:

attrib -h -r -s /s /d FOUND.*

Step 03

Drag and Restore

Once the folders are visible in File Explorer, open them and drag the .chk files into the restoration engine at the top of this page.
